LittleMonkey worked with the New Zealand Defence Force and created this Conference App. The Defence Force hosted delegates from across the globe in New Zealand for the annual PACCPAMS conference. The New Zealand Defence Force wanted to show how innovative they are, and be the first to create a Conference App.
This app was designed to give attendees access to all of the information on their mobile devices, and this information could be viewed on or off-line. Having the Conference App eliminated the need to print and send copies of the conference information to the attendees.
The app allowed the Defence Force to load new content resulting from workshops that were run daily during the conference. This kept everyone informed as to the outcomes of each workshop and allowed the Defence Force to edit events or make changes to content as required. Push notifications were sent to attendees' mobile devices, advising them when changes to content were loaded.
LittleMonkey set up multiple schedules because groups of attendees had different activities on any given day. The app also has a photo gallery that allowed photos to be uploaded at any time. Photos were sorted into separate albums for each day.
The Defence Force wanted to also capture feedback about the conference so a survey tool was built into the app for conference attendees to fill out after the event. This allowed the conference organisers to collect data from the attendees instantly, without having to deal with physical copies, and load the information to their computers automatically for analysis.
